Gilbert House Fellowship #155: Revelation 10–13

TIMES WILL be hard during the seven-year period called the Great Tribulation. You don’t want to be here for it.

This week, we discuss the two witnesses, the dragon and the rumble in the parking lot of heaven, and the beast that emerges from the sea in Revelation 13. The identity of the Beast has been the subject of speculation for two millennia, so we’re not going to solve it here. The takeaway from the study of this book is that God has an endgame strategy and it will succeed. Please — be on the winning side.

Here is the link to the video Derek mentioned, Dr. Michael Heiser explaining the astral prophecy of Revelation 12 that identifies the birth date of Jesus as September 11, 3 B.C. Mike’s presentation is based on the work of E. L. Martin’s The Star that Astonished the World (which can be read for free).

  1. Derek, For your consideration; Several months ago I had either a word from the Lord, or I have finally flipped out, you can decide for yourself. I was studying here at home, when it occurred to me that in all my praying for the salvation of terrorists around the world that I was leaving out Planned Parenthood. This idea of PP being a terrorist organization shocked me, at first, but as I thought and prayed about it, I realized it is probably true. Wrote to you earlier, but so far I found no response, would appreciate your input. Won’t quote you in any way.

  2. Thank you for such a great episode and how you were not dogmatic. I too agree with Joel Richardson’s take. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to read “the Great Inception” once it gets here.

  3. Okay… I knew this would happen.

I wanted a bit more insight into the ancient dragon motif and I my internet search brought up a link to your teaching… but also on this page were several promos for your books, including “Giants, Gods & Dragons” which you both have been mentioning lately in the Skywatch broadcasts. Firstly.., impeccable artwork. Many Christian books have passable and sometimes cringe worthy cover art. I’m a graphic artist myself so am always cognizant of good design and the cover art you employ is so rich, engaging and intriguing… well done. I’d like to know more about the artist and how he/she accomplished the work… can you drop me an email address?

Secondly, I read the sample for “Giants, Gods & Dragons” and as I knew would happen, by the time I finished reading the sample… I was hooked! Once I finish the other 50 books (I’m not exaggerating) I ordered from Skywatch… I have to get this one… Oh… if only sleep was optional 🙂
